Acting Governor of West Sulawesi (Sulbar) Bahtiar Baharuddin, along with elements of the Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda) in the 33rd province, attended the Coordination Meeting on the Preparedness for the 2024 Simultaneous Regional Elections in the regions of Kalimantan, Sulawesi, and Maluku in Makassar on Wednesday (26/06/24).

Previously, the President of the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), If you have any kind of questions regarding where and how to utilize family-based AD research, you can call us at our website. Ahmad Syaikhu, officially announced the Anies Baswedan-Sohibul Iman pair for the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada. The announcement was the result of a Central Leadership Council (DPTP) PKS meeting on Thursday, June 20, 2024.

The announcement was made at the Party Leadership School (SKP) of the PKS Central Leadership Board (DPP) as a briefing for all elected DPR RI and provincial DPRD members throughout Indonesia at the Sahid Hotel, South Jakarta, Tuesday (25/6/2024). “The DPTP of PKS in the meeting on Thursday, June 20, 2024, decided to nominate Mr. Anies Rasyid Baswedan as the prospective gubernatorial candidate and Mr. Muhammad Sohibul Iman as the prospective vice-gubernatorial candidate, ready to fight for their victory?” said Syaikhu at the Sahid Hotel.

“One factor is electability, right, and the second is capability. That’s clear. Sahroni may have capability, we are confident in that, he is a young man, but his electability for the Jakarta field needs to be carefully considered,” said Paloh.

“Because in our country’s constitution, the preamble of the 1945 Constitution mandates that the sovereignty of the people is fundamental in the administration of our state. Achieving our national goals must place the sovereignty of the people as something fundamental,” stated Warits in Surabaya on June 25, 2024. Warits highlighted that through the 2024 Pilkada, the sovereignty of the people must be safeguarded together through participatory supervision in public spaces that need to be created. “Because elections are the voice of the people, they must be protected together. They must not be lost,” he remarked.

**Realize a Good Pilkada** Because of the many ‘dawn attacks’ in the last election, Warits reminded that this Pilkada must be protected together, synergized together to be honest, fair, and safe from all fraud. “Yes, we must guard it together. Because it is impossible for Bawaslu alone, the KPU only has six people with its secretariat in each sub-district. Three PPS, three PPS secretariat. They have six people plus seven PKD members, seven people in each village guarding sub-districts with thousands of residents, even tens of thousands. To guard against ‘dawn attacks,’ it’s impossible to handle alone. Therefore, it must be guarded together,” Warits stated. Warits said that citizens can only vote in the Pilkada if their mental condition is not insane or they are sane. This means that those who can vote are those who think and are normal. “Do not let the thoughts of the people who can vote be bought at a very cheap price, even cheaper than a chicken. That is an insult to the people. Because those who cannot think should not vote. For example, insane people are regulated by law and should not be included in the DPT. Thus, synergy among all of us is necessary to realize a better Pilkada. I think it’s important,” he stated.

Syaikhu mentioned that some people have already referred to this pair by the acronym AMAN. “We believe the Anies Sohibul Iman pair, some have already called them AMAN. Whatever, it’s up to you,” continued Syaikhu.

Participatory supervision itself, Warits said, is the activity of ensuring the process of Pilkada stages by collecting data, information, and inventorying findings related to the implementation of the Pilkada by independent and non-partisan community groups or organizations. “Participatory supervision aims to ensure the conduct of honest, fair, clean, and transparent elections whose results can be accepted by all parties, both Pilkada participants and the wider community,” clarified Warits.

Of the many Pilkada stages, Warits revealed that all stages have vulnerable points for supervision. “The points are in many aspects, right now in the Voter List Update (Pantarlih) stage, later in the candidacy stage. Candidacy must also be supervised, as well as the campaign stage. Campaigns must not violate regulations and must especially avoid intimidation. There should be no intimidation from authorities or election officials who get involved. They must not force people to direct or win certain candidates. I think we must protect this together,” Warits explained.

Meanwhile, Acting Governor of West Sulawesi Bahtiar Baharuddin affirmed his commitment to implementing the central government’s directives to ensure the success of the regional elections. He also mentioned the availability of the budget and facilitation as regulated by the law.

A Joke Between Friends

The highlight of their event was an amusing exchange concerning who would certainly spend for the iftar dish. Raffi jokingly suggested that Gibran, the Vice President-Elect, must treat him, to which Gibran replied in a common Jokowi family style– calm and lively– that they would pay individually. This light-hearted small talk brought laughter and showcased their realistic characters.
